Product Overview
The Italo Ventania is the largest rotational fan in the Matthews Fan Co collection. Its vortex sculpted arms grasp also remarkable, side-mounted fan heads in gentle equatorial rotation. The fan heads can be infinitely positioned in 180-degree arcs for optimum air movement; the greater the angle of the motor to the horizontal support rods (up or down), the faster the axial rotation. A slow, controlled axial rotation is achieved by both fan head position and fan blade speed.
  • ·Matthews rotational fans circulate heat and air conditioning more effeciently than traditional paddle fans. ·Constructed of cast aluminum, heavy spun and stamped steel, the Italo Ventania carries a limited lifetime warranty.

His undergraduate studies were at Hobart College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree and at Columbia University. He is a licensed Architect in Chicago with over two decades of professional practice on building projects in locations that include Chicago, Milwaukee, New York, Los Angeles and Shanghai.

“Whether it is a fan, chair, table, office building or train station, each design solution should provide a universal and approachable statement on beauty, purpose and function.”

Stephen’s Eliza Ceiling Fan for the Matthews Fan Company was inspired by the idea that a fan blade could be shaped to maximize air movement at the outer edge of the blade where it does the most work. The other goal was to make a clean and modern visual statement when the fan is not in use. The fan’s namesake is Stephen’s daughter Eliza Moore Katz.
